S’well Bottle Review

Staying hydrated is important for your health and physical performance during a workout. Your body can lose several liters of water during regular exercise, therefore it’s important to stay properly hydrated before, during, and after your workout routine.

Over the years I’ve purchased several different water bottles to help me stay hydrated throughout my workout. Of the many I’ve tried, my favorite is from a company called S’well. I first learned of S’well at a Zumba class when one of the women talked about how much she loved the water bottle. After visiting the company’s website, and reading reviews, I decided to buy one for myself. It has been my go-to water bottle ever since and one of my everyday lifestyle favorites.

S’well was founded by Sarah Kauss and launched in 2010. Its mission is to create eco-friendly products that help the environment and communities in need. It’s partnered with UNICEF to aid communities around the world with limited access to clean drinking water. In addition, it supports other charitable causes such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Forests, and (RED).

S’well bottles are very unique. The style, functionality, and technology all play a part in why I love their products. What initially drew me to the bottle was the aesthetics. There are so many colors and designs to choose from, including customized bottles. It’s slender enough that it doesn’t take up a lot of room in a bag or cup holder and fits comfortably in your hand.

The technology behind this product is what makes it my go-to water bottle. I can’t count how many water bottles I’ve purchased over the years claiming to be insulted, leak-proof, and durable. Think of how many times you’ve gone to the gym with an iced bottle of water only to wonder by the end of the workout if you or the bottle has sweated more? S’well bottles contain a triple-walled technology, called Therma S’well”, which keeps it condensation free. Trust me when I say that the only drops of water from this bottle will be the ones you drink. I have poured semi-frozen water into my bottle and it has never produced any type of condensation.

One of the top features of the S’well bottle is its ability to keep cold liquids cold for 24 hours and hot liquids hot for 12 hours. When I initially read this I was a bit skeptical. After testing it out I can say that these features are absolutely true. I keep a bottle filled with cold water at night and when I wake up in the morning it’s still chilled. This dual feature is very much appreciated in the winter months when I use it for hot tea. I’m not sure how the company has perfected this, but it definitely works!

When it comes to durability, you never have to worry about cracks or breaks if accidentally dropped because it’s made of stainless steel. I’ve had a few clumsy moments when I’m rushing and have knocked it over. Aside from the loud clang, it’s still intact and doesn’t have any dents. Due to it being vacuumed sealed, you also never have to worry about it leaking as long as you screw the lid on properly.

Final Thoughts

The S’well bottle is an all-around fantastic reusable BPA free water bottle. After 3 years, it’s still my go-to choice when I’m looking to carry a beverage with me. There are so many colors and designs to choose from. It is available in three different sizes, 9oz, 17oz, and 25oz. If you are looking for a functional, durable, and stylish water bottle I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the S’well bottle.
